DESCRIPTION:Year-round at Central Park in downtown Davis\, thousands gather each week to\nshop for what is grown\, raised\, and made locally at our markets. We are\ndedicated to bringing farmers right to your table\, so we stay open rain or\nshine. \nWalk rows of stalls lined with an array of fruits and vegetables\, including\ncertified organic produce\, choice meats\, chicken\, seafood\, wine\, local eggs\nand honey. Choose from a variety of fresh-baked goods\, plants\, flowers and\ngifts. In the evenings\, enjoy live local music\, beer and wine\, or a meal\nfrom one of our many food stands\, made from market ingredients. \nPicnic in the Park returns on Wednesday\, March 13\, at Central Park\, 301 C\nSt.\, 4:30 p.m. to sunset. The sunset closure has vendors packing up as\nearly as 8:35 p.m. during longer summer days\, and as early as 7 p.m. in\nOctober. \nAt Picnic in the Park\, visitors can shop the farmers market\, buy dinner at\nthe food faire\, visit Soroptimist International of Davis’ beer and wine\ngarden\, and entertain youngsters. Children’s entertainment includes the\nbicycle-powered carousel\, two playgrounds\, bounce houses\, face painting\, a\npetting farm by All About a Farm\, and balloon creations by Dilly Dally the\nClown. Davis Enterprise readers have repeatedly voted the market as the\nbest place in Yolo County to take an out-of-towner\, and the best community\nevent. \nThe Davis Food Co-op sponsors live music each week\, through Oct. 30. Local\nbands bring a wide variety of music to the event\, including bluegrass\,\nAmericana\, rock ’n’ roll\, folk\, blues\, Dixieland\, Big Band\, rockabilly\,\ndance music\, R&B\, world music\, hip-hop and more\, beginning at 5 p.m. and\ncontinuing until sunset. \nPatrons using the Davis Farmers Market’s tables (with the red-checkered\ntablecloths) are encouraged to do so while enjoying food and beverages\npurchased at the market. The tables seat eight to allow sharing\, and\nplacemats are provided. The spring market will be packed with organic and\nconventional produce\, apple juice\, olive oil\, honey and flowers. DESCRIPTION:Davis Media Access\, Davis Music Festival\, Davis Phoenix Coalition\, and\nSoroptimist of Greater Davis are the combined force behind Big Day at the\nDock 2019 \nThis year’s event features a record 27 area non-profits participating. \nBig Day at the Dock features live music by rhythmic pop duo me&you\, and\njamgrass/reggae/funk band Red Dirt Ruckus; a micro performance by Acme\nTheatre Company; information tables and giving stations from a wide variety\nof non-profits; a BBQ by Davis Firefighters; food trucks by Chickpeas and\nThe Buckhorn\, and of course the beer for which Sudwerk is famous. Sudwerk\nis generously donating a portion of beer sales to offset event costs. Local\nradio station KDRT 95.7 FM (a project of Davis Media Access) will provide a\nlive broadcast of the event from 6-9 p.m.\, which also be streamed at\nhttp://kdrt.org/ . The event is an all-ages venue and entrance is free;\nthere will be some kids’ activities available as well.
